Working closely with the
top level Factory race teams of Honda and Yamaha in the ultra
competitive World Supersport arena, Ferodo has developed the
all new SinterGrip XR race compound pads.
The focus on the World
Supersport Series as a development vehicle is due the higher
braking demands inherent in regulations requiring the O.E.
braking systems being retained. The 600SS machines routinely
run substantially higher line pressure than their Superbike
counterparts, putting much greater actual demand on the
brakes. Considering that their lap times are a mere couple of
seconds off the faster and more powerful World Superbikes
(with nearly unlimited brake systems) underscores the
importance of Friction Material and provides an ideal venue
for the development of new leading edge technology.
Over a year in
development, the new SinterGrip XR range of high performance
brake pads represents the pinnacle of sintered technology in
terms of extreme performance levels combined with remarkable
thermal stability and optimal feedback at the

CP911Star RACE
PADS
Manufactured by the world
renown Ferodo Italy - Automotive Racing Cell, this latest
generation high carbon Hyper-Met formula is easily identified
with the addition of a star “*” suffix stenciled on the
backplate. The updated CP911Star offers more initial bite, yet
still maintaining that fine degree of control and superb
modulation at the lever for incredible braking performance!
Performing brilliantly on both stainless and iron rotors,
bed-in remains quick and uncomplicated. This hi-tech material
is kind to rotors, operating at significantly cooler
temperatures than sintered metal pads under race
conditions. |
